Today we rode the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's. It is an old railroad bed along the Coeur d'Alene River and goes through land owned by the Coeur d'Alene tribe. We rode down to Rose Lake and back from the Mission Trailhead a total of 17 miles. Ate at the Mission Inn. Had a delicious huckleberry milkshake. Just down the road is Cataldo Mission State Park. The Cataldo Mission is really Mission of the Sacred Heart built by Catholic Missionaries and the C d'A tribe between 1850 and 1853.
Clayton, a young man of the Nez Perce tribe, brought Chinook Salmon up and sold them to Wes and Theresa.
Pictures: Wes, Theresa and Wes' cat, Meatloaf, Bike trail, Mission Inn, and Salmon.
